NOBU

Probably one of the best dining experiences I've had in my 28 years of life. There are locations throughout major cities around the world. There's a couple in LA but the one I went to was down in San Diego. Amazing everything. Taste was present. Quality was present. Freshness was present. Mouth watered at everything I tried. Pricey...yes but so worth it. Thankfully that night I didn't pay. The place itself was fancy. If one night you want a fantastic dining experience this is the place! So, so good!

Loafer Socks

Just bought these loafer socks. They're awesome! The ones I bought are from Banana Republic. I highly recommend them. You can get a 2 pack for about $15 which to me is a bit pricey hence the reason why I only bought 1 pack. But I think they're worth it. They're truly perfect when you are wearing your loafers w/ shorts. Even if they still show a little bit it's ok because it's 10 times better than wearing shorts with normal socks beneath your loafers. They come in only 1 size and I'm size 8.5 and they fit me perfect actually. All in all a good buy.

BlackHeads

If you're like me and tend to get a lot of blackheads in your nose area than I would recommend the boscia strips. A bit pricey I think ($15 for 6) but worth it to get rid of those nasty blackheads. I simply think they work better than drug store strips but I know each person is different. They are worth trying though. When I've used them they'll pull most of the blackheads and leave my skin feeling smooth. The redness of the skin goes away after a few minutes. Like many products you need to go through a trial and error process to find what works best for you. You can find them at Sephora stores.

Andy Williams

A great music artist sadly passed a way this week. Andy Williams. He had a one of a kind voice. A classic soul with a voice that cannot be compared to anybody else. A one of a kind man. He will be missed dearly. We are fortunate enough to hear his music through recordings but it will not replace the man himself. Andy Williams your beautiful version of "The Most Wonderful Time of The Year" is the true sign of the arrival of Christmas to me. It always brings happiness, joy, and excitement to my heart when I hear it because I know I will be spending even more time w/ my mother who enjoys listening to Christmas tunes as much as I do. And your true classic just never gets old. Rest in peace Andy and thank you, thank you for the gift of beautiful music that you left us.

991, Mother Nature and The Female

Photos are from www.insideline.com (2012 Paris Auto Show)

To me females are the most beautiful things, creatures, etc. in the world. Second is Mother Nature and all it's wondrous beauty. Third, well, if you know me you know that I adore the 911. I'm in love with that car. My goal is to perhaps, if possible, if I can, buy one before I turn 35 years old. I probably won't get a new one instead one that's a couple years old just to save a few bucks. I simply don't get tired of looking at the 911. Especially the new 991 which is just so eye catching. To me it's the perfect gentleman's car. Ferrari is cool, Lamborghini is phenomenal but there is nothing like a 911. Might be the curves of the car. The stance. The height. Or everything. It'll be a dream come true if I do ever get to buy one and call myself a Porsche owner. Although the 2 photos of the 991 4S are just stunning photos just don't do the car justice because when you see it up close and personal it's like looking at art work, at least for me. The third photo is just an example of why woman are just twice as stunning as anything else in this world especially the beautiful female to the left. There's something so special about her. Maybe it's everything. The definition of a beautiful woman. Thank you Ferdinand for creating the vision you had of the perfect car and thank you God for the vision you had of the perfect specimen and the beauty of what Mother nature should be. Forgive me for the bad format but I wanted to make sure the pictures were there original size as I wanted to make sure the photos were clearly visible.

One of Those Emotional Songs. At least for me.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of when I was young coming down the 101 from Santa Barbra. The melody of the song is so touching to me. It just makes me feel like life is beautiful and makes me think of how the wonderful times I've had in my life with the people I love can only last for so long. Thank you Don Henley for a true classic!

An Animal

Got the chance to try Animal not too long ago. I must say it's quite a dining experience. The space of the restaurant has a very cool vibe to it. I guess it comes w/ the territory of having a place on Fairfax Ave. But you come for the dining experience. The menu seems to change on a daily basis per their online menu but when I was there everything I tried was intriguing, delicious & unique. I think it's certainly a restaurant worth trying if ever in town. The service was great. The place wasn't too loud. And the food was amazing. I tried a number of different dishes including the the "pig ear, chili, lime, fried egg", "barbeque pork belly sandwiches, slaw", "foie gras loco moco, quail egg, spam, hamburger" and a few others and none of them disappointed. Had a glass of wine, and a sweet dessert to finish of the nice dinner ("bacon chocolate crunch bar, s&p ice cream" & "tres leches, dulce de leche"). Now, keep in mind that the dishes served are more so to share w/ the rest of your group instead of individual plates which is great because that way you get to try a little bit of everything. So, all and all it was a great food experience that left me intrigued by the types of dishes. One thing though, it's not vegeterian friendly so if you are vegetarian then this is probably not the restaurant for you unfortunately.

Rest in Peace - Donna Summer & Robin Gibb

Anyone who has grown up w/ me & is really close to me knows that I'm a big fan of disco music. Even though I didn't grow up in that era I somehow was able to find a love for disco music. Might have been because of Mom I guess. This week was a sad week though for anyone who loves disco tracks because 2 iconic singers who were a big part in creating great disco hits have passed away. Donna Summer & Robin Gibb. We've lost 2 great legends in the music world. Both passed away due to some form of cancer. They will be missed by many. Their music legacy will go on & their hits will never stop playing. Thank you for the wonderful music Donna & Robin!

Favorite Car Commercial at The Moment

Why... Well, because it shows the different designs from past generations of the SL model & I have to say this new one is breathtakeingly beautiful.

The Avengers

Thought it was "ok" because there were no surprises. Good guys defeat the bad guys. Nothing new. Nothing I had not already seen from other super hero films as far the fighting goes or CGI. No surprise that in the end they make people believe that there will be a 2nd film. The character that made the film fun to watch though was Iron Man. If you like super heroes, cool fighting scenes & an all around good time then this is the film for you.

Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston sadly passed away today. Her music has brought me joy & happiness as her music was a part of my upbringing. She passed away to soon. She was only 48 & although it makes me sad that a favorite artist of mine has passed away it also reminds me of how life is short & precious & to love life & the good people that are part of your life.

Whitney was such an amazing singer. Her voice was truly a gift & it'll be hard for any singer to come close to her. Obviously, Whitney had many great hits but the favorite one for me is "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" because of it's such a feel good song, well, at least for me it's.

Rest in Peace Whitney.

The Mechanic

A manly movie. Non-stop action from start to finish. Enjoyed the movie. Statham was his usual self. Meaning, he was great. Decent story line. Great shooting & fighting sequences. All-n-all I thought it was a good action film.

Diesel Lion Black Leather Bomber Jacket

I finally found a nice leather jacket that fits me just about perfect. It's from Diesel. I paid less that $500 for it so I pretty much won't be buying any other big ticket item this year. I got the black of course but they do offer it in brown leather or even in a green leather which looks pretty nice as well. It's a soft leather. Its got "Knit ribbed cuffs" which is what I wanted in a leather jacket. Who knows, maybe one day I can purchase an modern electric bike & this will be my go to jacket whenever I ride the bike.
